About Us
La Société was fully established in the academic year, 2021-2022, by five SHS students from the De La Salle University - Integrated School (Manila Campus). It is the philosophy association of DLSU - IS students that aim to actively promote philosophical thought in literature, film, culture, arts, history, and
societal affairs in pursuit of progressive knowledge and contemplative reasoning among matters, not
exclusively, mentioned prior.
La Société exclusively emphasizes its motto: “Ç'est avant tout savoir et ignore,” in all of its members' endeavors and pursuits. As such, it is not a debate circle, a political faction, a religious centered group, or
a lecture based club; it is a community of inquiry dedicated to serving the
philosophical interests of students through reflective thinking and voicing out
perspectives, unencumbered by opinionated hegemony or discriminatory practices of
any kind.
The first president of La Société was Rance Tamayo, one of the co-founders of the organization. He was eventually succeeded by Mariel Bautista, the current president. As of now, the club is still an active scholarly association.

Tara, Taft: All Roads Lead You Home
La Société was included in the presentation of clubs and organizations during the DSHIP & DOSE 2022 of De La Salle University - Integrated School (Manila) with the event name: "Tara, Taft: All Roads Lead You Home." The event occurred in three consecutive days, from September 7 to 9, to welcome all ID 121 and 122 Senior High School (SHS) students.
It's presenters were two pairs of executive officers: Micah Cabatingan and Louisse Botecario, along with Patrick Jaso and Mariel Bautista.
The club had also given freebies in the form of black and gold calling cards with a QR code of this website, including the social media handles of the club.
Recruitment & Enlistment Weeks Prep
La Société prepared for the recruitment and enlistment weeks through constant online and face-to-face meetings between officers. The construction and design of the booth was also assigned and communicated about between all members. All forms and final preparations were also assigned and constantly checked to ensure a smooth flow of events during enlistment week.
